TENDER Share New Single ‘flux’

Rising UK indie duo TENDER, consisting of artists James Cullen and Dan Cobb, share their brand new single flux, the title track of their third studio album Flux, out now via Nettwerk. 

 

What I like the most about this song is its warmth and chill vibes that instantly got me in a good mood and excited to want to share it with you guys. I adore those silky smooth vocals and how they effortlessly create such a warm, emotive atmosphere that is guaranteed to resonate with listeners. Written about the day James found out he was going to be a father, flux describes the day he and his soon-to-be wife were leaving New York to go home to London, and the series of emotions going through his mind at the time. A lovely piece of music that pairs those gorgeous vocals with delicate guitar plucks which are seamlessly paired with warm synths, powerful backing vocals, steady beat and electronics that come together to create an overall comforting atmosphere perfect for a laid-back day.

Speaking about the song, James said,

The day I found out I was going to be a father was the same day I was leaving New York and my soon-to-be wife to go home to London. I didn’t know the next time I would see her or how the future looked. This song is about that day, that journey to the airport and the thoughts going through my head.
