zinha Drops New Single ‘so blue’

UK-based, Portuguese artist zinha (aka Luisa Chumbinho) shares her brand new single so blue, the lead single from her upcoming 8-track debut EP 'sad/happy ☹☺ ', which is out now via B3SCI Records.

This song has a retro-inspired 70s vibe that I really appreciate and it's the most upbeat offering from her project, packed with lots of groove, soul and energy. so blue finds the talented artist singing about the end of something and the empowering moment of accepting and finally being able to move forward, a relatable message beautifully delivered through her gorgeous, passionate vocals. Backing her lovely vocals we have a funky bassline seamlessly interwined with an infectious conga drum loop and warm rhythms that come together to create an overall memorable and timeless listening experience!

As zinha explains about so blue:
’so blue’ is an ode to the end of something, the empowerment stage of accepting and moving forward, no matter how colourful the ending looks. It was born from the core idea behind the song: the funky bass-line. We jammed it out one afternoon and realised it had a Stevie Nicks / Kate Bush element to it, especially with the vintage conga drum loop we found on an old cassette Josh had. The rest was history - it came together over two days and we knew this was the key single for the EP - a really fun jam!
