Alta Falls Share New Single ‘Everything Is Falling Apart’

Brisbane indie electro-pop trio Alta Falls are back with their brand new single Everything Is Falling Apart, a retro-infused cut about the heartache of losing someone special in your life. 

 

Produced by Aidan Hogg (G Flip, Jaguar Jonze) and mixed by Oscar Dawson (Holy Holy, Amy Shark), Everything Is Falling Apart captures the essence of Alta Falls’ musicality, while also highlighting the group’s songwriting strength. The song shares an emotionally-charged story of losing someone you loved and how even they're no longer physically present, their essence lingers in the spaces once shared and in our hearts. A message beautifully delivered through those lush vocals which are accompanied by bright, shimmering synths nicely intertwined with cool rhythms and steady drum patterns that come together to create an overall warm atmosphere.

Speaking about the song, Nathanael Hubbard said,

‘Everything Is Falling Apart’ is about the heartache of losing someone who’s been a constant presence in your life. Even when they’re no longer physically here, their essence lingers in the spaces they once filled, like a shadow woven into the everyday.

Matthew Green added,

The song came together like most of ours do. I come up with the initial chords and structure on the piano, and Nathanael comes up with some early melody and lyric ideas. We then take this to the studio where we workshop beats and bass lines, and start to layer the keys and synth parts.
