Icarus Phoenix Share New Single ‘Homeostasis’

Baltimore, MD-based band Icarus Phoenix, consisting of Drew Danburry (gtr/vox), Eli Sims (drums), Leena Rhodes (gtr/vox/synth) and Brendan Russell (bass), share their brand new single Homeostasis, a captivating indie-pop song with a retro vibe. 

 

What I like the most about this song is its warmth and how those rich, expressive vocals effortlessly command our attention to their relatable storytelling. Homeostasis shows a deep distrust of happiness, showing that it always fades. It's a song about searching for inner peace and balance, something that can be achieved when one's personal desires are fulfilled. Apart from the vocals I am particularly fond of the intricate guitar riffs which are beautifully intertwined with steady drum patterns and cool rhythms that together create an overall warm, somewhat nostalgic and melancholic atmosphere perfect for a reflective day home alone.
