Rikke Shares New Single ‘High Horse (be gone)’

Norwegian reality TV star / alt-pop artist Rikke drops her brand new single High Horse (Be gone), an infectious single about relationship boundaries. 

 

The first single to be taken from her upcoming album Not Even Air Can Come Between Us Now, High Horse (Be gone) finds the talented artist telling a tale of getting entangled by the disrespectful behaviour of so-called friends & their disregard for others. A storytelling that contrasts the upbeat, funk-soul groove of its production, effortlessly showing Rikke's talents as a singer and storyteller. I am really enjoying the tone of her voice and how rich and expressive her vocal delivery is, soaring beautifully over a killer bass that is seamlessly intertwined with cool drum patterns, groovy guitars and rhythms that create an overall warm, feel-good atmosphere.

Speaking about the song, Rikke said,

Breaking up with friends when there’s an unhealthy dynamic can seem to many as a bit taboo still. For some reason we’re only allowed to break up romantic relationships! Whereas, if it’s platonic & for some reason you’re no longer compatible, the other party can seem shocked when you cut them out of your life, even after explaining why!
