Susie McCollum Premieres ‘You’re In My Head’ Music Video

New York City-based singer, songwriter and producer Susie McCollum shares the official music video for her gorgeous song You're In My Head, the latest single to be taken from her debut EP, Tempt My Fate, out now!

What I like the most about this song is how rich and expressive Susie McCollum's vocals are, gliding effortlessly over the captivating production. You're In My Head finds the talented artist singing about not being able to get someone out of our head and the nostalgia that comes with it, sharing a message of what missing someone can feel like. A message flawlessly conveyed through her rich, soulful vocals which are backed by killer bass and guitar plucks seamlessly intertwined with a steady beat and rhythms that come together to create an overall warm, intimate atmosphere perfect for an introspective day home alone.

Accompanying the release, Susie shares its captivating music video, directed by Sally Marian Rubin, which playfully explores the bittersweet cocktail of nostalgia, curiosity, and longing that often accompanies memories of past relationships. With a witty and wry touch, it captures the complex emotions of missing someone, acknowledging the persisting "what ifs" .

Speaking about the song, McCollum said,
Sometimes nostalgia and curiosity linger longer than expected, and that's how this song was born. It started with wondering about someone, and it evolved into a deeper exploration of what missing a person really means - as it can be quite all-consuming. For the video, we wanted to lean into this as well as the dreamy and the playful - other hues of memory in this case. Visually, we wanted to communicate a marriage of modern and vintage - growth and longing - and came out with a very exciting, fun, beautifully weird narrative.
