Will Sass Shares Debut Single ‘Alicia’ feat. Alvin Risk

New York City-based boundary-pushing artist and producer Will Sass shares his official debut single Alicia, a stunning indietronica cut out now via Song Vault. 

 

For this track, Will Sass teamed up with singer-songwriter Alvin Risk whose stunning, heartfelt vocals effortlessly infuse the song with a memorable dose of soul and emotion from start to finish. The inspiration behind Alicia came after a chance encounter seeing a meteor shower in Joshua Tree that sparked Will's imagination, leading him to reach out to Alvin Risk in a burst of inspiration, resulting in an innovative track that pushes the boundaries of electronic music with its fresh, experimental beats. 

 

I adore those vocals and the production is stellar with airy, ambient elements in the first part of the song that create an ethereal touch that is then transformed into a danceable listening experience with the groovy rhythms and bass that create the perfect atmosphere for a carefree day! Speaking about the song, Will Sass said,

I first met Alvin at a Coachella afterparty five years ago, and we instantly hit it off. We spent a lot of time just hanging out, driving around LA, listening to music, and going on hikes. But it wasn’t until ‘Alicia’ that we finally got to work together creatively. ‘Alicia’ was one of those songs that came together quickly and effortlessly. I played Alvin the atmospheric opening and he came up with these beautiful lyrics about a girl leaving the Mormon church. The night before when I’d seen the meteor and called Alvin, he happened to be in the studio for the first time in five years. We were both feeling really inspired and it just felt like everything aligned perfectly for us to finally collaborate.”
