Cate Tomlinson Shares New Single ‘The Ring of Fire’

San Francisco-based singer, songwriter, and performing artist Cate Tomlinson returns with her brand new single The Ring of Fire, the final single to be taken from her upcoming sophomore EP, The Side Effects of You, set to release December 6th. 

 

What I like the most about this song is how confident and passionate Tomlinson's vocal delivery sounds, soaring effortlessly over an infectious alt-pop production. The Ring of Fire is a song about temptation, manipulation and being loyal to something that is intoxicating in the moment but ultimately fatal. A sentiment that is enhanced by the infectious production that pairs an ominous beat with soaring guitar riffs, catchy bass, captivating rhythms and delicate piano keys that build up in pace and energy to match the raw emotion and confidence pouring from her stunning vocals.
