Julia Calvin Shares New Single ‘Anybody Else’

Costa Rican/American singer and songwriter Julia Calvin has just shared her brand new single Anybody Else, a laid-back indie-pop song out now via Tica Records. 

 

Taken from her latest EP, Everything to Gain (out now), Anybody Else is a love song to music and how it changed Calvin's life. Written at the beginning of the pandemic, Anybody Else served as a way of self-therapy during a scary time and for all the changes in Julia Calvin's life at that time. A song that allows for the talented artist to showcase her gorgeous, heartfelt vocals and storytelling abilities over a heartwarming indie-pop production. Apart from her expressive vocals and dreamy harmonies, I am particularly fond of the emotive piano keys that are nicely intertwined with lush, cinematic strings and captivating rhythms that come together to create an overall warm, intimate atmosphere.

Speaking about the song, Julia Calvin said,

"Anybody Else" is a love song to music. I wrote it in the beginning of the pandemic, as I was planning to move to LA. I had just graduated school & there was so much uncertainty in the air (personally & globally), and I was facing so many decisions about how I wanted to approach life in a new city & moving forward. Writing it was like a form of self-therapy during a scary time.
