Rapt Unveils New Single ‘I Will Be My End’

Rapt, the moniker of London-based singer and songwriter Jacob Ware, shares his brand new single I Will Be My End, a warm Folk gem!

What I like the most about this song is its melancholic atmosphere and how it sounds perfect for those cold winter days home alone with my thoughts. This gem finds the talented artist singing about grasping at agency in the face of a failing body, a personal song that references his struggles with both early onset rheumatoid arthritis and epilepsy, the former of which prevented him from playing guitar for a full year.

I Will Be My End sets the tone for a sort of bleak, heavily conditional optimism that colours a record fixated on “ends” and how we press on when inevitable doom is just over the horizon. A heartfelt message flawlessly conveyed through Rapt's smooth, expressive vocals which are accompanied by a melancholic fingerpicked melody that is seamlessly intertwined with delicate, emotive piano keys and haunting harmonies that come together to create an overall warm, melancholic atmosphere.

I Will Be My End is taken from Rapt's upcoming album, Until the Light Takes Us, set to arrive on February 21st, 2025 via START-TRACK.
