SJae Shares New Single ‘Change the Wind’
SJae, the moniker of acclaimed music producer, composer, and songwriter Samantha Powell, shares her brand new single Change the Wind, an upbeat indie-pop/rock cut!
Taken from her upcoming EP, Paper Hearts, due out later this year, Change the Wind is a song about being in circumstances out of our control but being able to try and make it better. Things don't always go according to plan and we should take those moments as learning experiences, a message beautifully conveyed through SJae's gorgeous, expressive vocals which beautifully infuses the song with a memorable dose of emotion. Accompanying her lovely vocals we have an infectious blend of folk, country and indie-pop elements that together create an overall warm, feel-good atmosphere. I am particularly fond of the lush guitar strums which are beautifully intertwined with a punchy beat and emotive piano keys that create the perfect soundscape for her vocals to soar.

Even though you might find yourself in circumstances out of your control, you can change the story within those circumstances to make it better. A lot of the time, things don’t go at all as we’ve planned, but the song talks about how the spectrum of life’s experiences is where the point of living it lies.
