B.Miles Unveils New Single ‘Xmas Sox’

New York singer and songwriter B.Miles shares her brand new single Xmas Sox, a melancholia-infused indie/alt-pop cut. 

 

Out now via Moon Crawl Records, Xmas Sox finds the talented artist getting vulnerable buried emotions and reminders of loss during the holiday season, with the Christmas socks reminding her of ex and how she buried some emotions about her relationship. I am really loving how delicate and expressive her vocals sound, effortlessly conveying the raw, honest emotion of her storytelling. Accompanying her vocals we have intricate guitar riffs nicely intertwined with steady beat and cool rhythms that come together to create an overall warm atmosphere with touches of melancholia, perfect for a laid-back weekend alone.

Speaking about the song, B.Miles said,

You know how certain objects can trigger a flood of memories? For me, it’s Christmas socks—specifically, my ex’s Christmas socks. While going through a breakup, I found something of an unlikely metaphor in those socks: they’re an item everyone has, but are often hidden, just like the emotions I kept buried about our relationship. There’s a certain romance in continuing to wear something that once held such comfort and charm, especially around the holidays, even as the meaning has shifted to something more somber.
