Jakke Shares New Single ‘Karma Response’

American singer, songwriter and DJ Jakke teams up woth producer Nuage to deliver his brand new single Karma Response, a hypnotic Progressive House cut!

His first release on House of Youth Records, Karma Response was co-written with Trevor Coulter and finds the talented artist delivering a song that reflects the acceptance of fear and the unknown, ultimately embracing the uncertainty of life. I am loving the gentle, siren-esque vocals which beautifully draw our attention to this poignant storytelling that is guaranteed to resonate with many listeners out there. A song that encourages to find peace in surrendering to going with the flow and letting go of things we cannot control. Accompanying those vocals and echoing harmonies we have a hypnotic electronic production that pairs killer rhythms beautifully intertwined with shimmering electronics and delicate synths that come together to create an overall warm atmosphere perfect for a late night drive and introspective days.

Speaking about the song, Nuage said,
I started “Karma Response” in Saint Petersburg during a time when I was going through a heartbreaking relationship. I felt drained of energy and passion, yet I still managed to complete this track. I had been asking myself, “What is karma?” This song became a message to the future, because the feedback I’m receiving now is the result of my past actions. It feels right to release it now as a reminder that everything we experience today is a response to the choices we made in the past. I initially didn’t want to release it, but after sending it to Jakke, I changed my mind. His voice and lyrics were a game-changer.

Jakke added,
My good friend, Trevor Coulter, and I cowrote and recorded the vocals for Karma Response at Velvet Honey Studios in LA. For me, it is a song that reflects a quiet, introspective acceptance of fear and the unknown, embracing the uncertainty of life’s path. The lyrics explore the delicate balance between fate and free will, acknowledging that not having all the answers is part of the journey. It reminds of many ways in which we can move through the cycles of repetition, in order to find a sense of peace in surrendering to the flow, finding contentment in the process of letting go, and trusting that every step—whether forward or back—is part of an unfolding narrative.
