MC4D Drop New Single ‘Travel On’

Twin-Brother Duo MC4D share their brand new single Travel On, an upbeat blend of Folk, Americana, Country and Dance music taken from their highly-anticipated debut EP, Wanderings, out now via Seminal Records. 

 

This catchy, upbeat "Folktronica" sound is giving me Avicii vibes, especially with the powerful electronic beats and infectious melodies that create that larger-than-life vibe perfect for festivals and fans of folk and house music. I am loving those rich, powerful vocals and how passionate the delivery is, radiating with raw emotion and soul that gives us something to sing along to while dancing. Backing those lush vocals we have stellar guitar riffs seamlessly paired with a foot-stomping beat, expansive synths, killer rhythms, delicate piano keys that come together to create an overall anthemic, euphoric atmosphere perfect for road trips and to get you in a good mood and dancing in no time!

The 'Wanderings' EP is a representation of not just the sonic landscape we've built with our 'folktronica' sound, but also of the many travels we've been so lucky to experience in 2024. About a year ago, we made the decision to only release music in 2024 that truly felt like us, combining the indie, folk, country, and electronic genres we pull inspiration from. That led us to develop our folktronica style, ranging from our country-leaning 'Travel On' single to folk-leaning single 'Be Here With Me Now'. We love how the EP encompasses a range of styles, from red-dirt country to Avicii-inspired anthemic folk, while still feeling like a cohesive project. Additionally, we aimed for the songs on the EP to reflect the incredible landscapes we visited in 2024, including Joshua Tree, Banff, the Colorado Rockies, and many more. Our goal is to build a unique brand of dance music that conjures the freedom, openness, and wonder that these places inspire, and our 'Wanderings' EP is the first step in that process.
