The Candid Unveil New Single ‘If I Left These Pews’

Nashville-based band The Candid, consisting of singer-songwriter Delaney Willson and drummer Mason Edwards, share their brand new single If I Left These Pews, a heartfelt indie-pop/folk song out now via Hippocratic Records. 

 

I am loving Delaney Willson's dulcet, delicate tone and how it radiates raw, honest emotion while soaring beautifully atop the heartwarming production. If I Left These Pews is a song about Delaney and his fiancé being denied being members of their church and how the church treated women and members of the LGBTQ community. A song that focus on faith and being true to oneself, finding comfort that Jesus would accept them. Religion aside, what I like the most about this song is its warmth and how Willson's vocals capture our attention from start to finish. I am also very fond of the intricate acoustic guitar riffs nicely intertwined with lush strings, subtle drums and delicate piano keys that come together to create an overall warm, intimate atmosphere!
