Jon Bryant Unveils New Single ‘High Season’
Canadian singer and songwriter Jon Bryant shares his brand new single High Season, a memorable alt-pop song about the struggles of living within your means in today's society.
Out now via Nettwerk Music, High Season finds the talented artist giving us a glimpse into his journey through self-reflection and sharing a story that will resonate with most of us. High Season captures the frustration and sense of hopelessness many of us go through right now, not being able to buy a home and seeing time passing by faster and faster and that dream to afford a place of your own growing distant. As a millenial myself I absolutely relate to this song as I grew up thinking that I would be able to afford a place of my own but life got harder, things got more expensive and there's a sense of loss of what my life would be that is hard to accept.
A message that is flawlessly conveyed through Bryant's smooth, dreamy vocals which exude raw, honest emotion and soul while soaring effortlessly over the captivating production. Apart from his gorgeous vocals, I am particularly fond of the intricate guitar plucks and how they are nicely paired with steady drum patterns, cool rhythms and bright atmospherics that come together to create an overall warm, introspective atmosphere perfect for a laid-back weekend!
When discussing High Season, Jon reflects,
It feels like life is constantly in high season right now. My generation can’t buy homes and every year seems more and more hopeless. How long can this last where most people my age can barely afford a 500 square foot apartment? You’re mourning the loss of the American Dream or an ideal you thought your life would be.
