Rosie Darling Shares New Single ‘Roomful Of People’ ft. Jake Scott
Los Angeles-based singer and songwriter Rosie Darling shares her brand new single Roomful Of People, a heartfelt alt-pop duet featuring ellow singer Jake Scott.
The title track of her forthcoming EP Roomful Of People out April 25, 2025 via Nettwerk, this gem finds both artists exploring the bittersweet experience of moving on while still feeling deeply connected to someone from the past. I am a fan of her dulcet tone which radiates so much emotion and vulnerability and is now beautifully paired with Jake Scott's warm, soothing tone, both effortlessly enhancing the emotion of their heartfelt storytelling.
Roomful Of People's heart-on-her-sleeve lyrics find Rosie confessing the magnetic pull that draws her back to a former lover, a story that is guaranteed to resonate with many listeners. Produced by Justin Gammella (FINNEAS, Ashe), this gem features organic, acoustic guitar plucks that create the perfect backdrop for their gorgeous vocals to soar. You can really feel their chemistry in the song, elevating its impassioned depth to greater heights. If you're into heartfelt, acoustic-guitar based duets with stunning vocals then you will love Roomful Of People.

Speaking about the song, Rosie explains,
On her collaboration, Rosie reveals,
‘Roomful Of People’ is about the act of trying to move on but still feeling the connection to someone that feels impossible to let go of despite your efforts to leave them behind. I think everyone has been there at some point in life where you walk into a room and there is someone there who knows you better than anyone, but you're not as close anymore or you broke up. It's a bittersweet feeling and I wanted to capture that in this song.
On her collaboration, Rosie reveals,
I’ve been a fan of Jake Scott’s for a long time so it’s really special that he’s featuring on this song! I love the idea of seeing two perspectives from a ‘break up’ in one song, and I think having Jake singing with me as a duet brings the storytelling to life so much more.
