North Carolina-based duo The One Eighties (Autumn Brand and Daniel Cook) have just shared their brand new single Backseat Devil, a warm and intimate piece of Folk/Americana!
What I like the most about this song is its gorgeous touches of melancholia that instantly make the song perfect for my days home alone with my thoughts. Backseat Devil finds the duo exploring themes of alienation, regret, and personal growth, all this beautifully conveyed through those stunning, heartfelt vocals and enchanting harmonies.
A song written about trying to leave something behind, but not being able to fully let go, Backseat Devil is guaranteed to resonate with many of us and is wrapped around such a memorable production that flawlessly enhances the raw emotion pouring from those gorgeous vocals.
