Wads Shares Debut Single ‘come here’
Wads, the lead singer of Phlake, one of Denmark’s most popular and influential bands, is now pursuing his solo career and has just released his official solo debut single come here, a genre-defying gem that describes the human urge to break free from shyness and insecurity.
What I like the most about this song is its infectious energy and how smooth and evocative his delivery is, beautifully drawing me towards his relatable storytelling. come here also marks a musical and personal turning point for Wads as he finds himself again and pursues a genre-blending sonority that won me over from the start. Apart from his soulful vocals I am particularly fond of the groovy rhythms and how they are nicely paired with bright electronics and lively piano chords that come together to create an overall warm, upbeat atmosphere with an empowering touch!
Speaking about the song, Wads said,
It’s a song about daring to take initiative, about trusting that following your own instincts might just lead to something extraordinary. To me, ‘come here’ is the feeling of achieving the unattainable.
