TEHYA Shares New Single ‘dust dog’

Filipino-Native American singer-songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist TEHYA shares her brand new single dust dog, the latest single to be taken from her debut EP, sorry for the wait, out now via Neon Gold Records / Futures Music. 

 

What I like the most about this song is the playful atmosphere of the melodies and how rich and sultry TEHYA's vocals sound, effortlessly capturing our attention to her storytelling. dust dog finds the talented artist going through a breakup, comparing a dog's love of sunbathing in the dirt with how she felt in that relationship. A storytelling beautifully conveyed through her rich vocals which are accompanied by an upbeat production that pairs killer bass nicely intertwined with lush brass elements and catchy rhythms that come together to create an overall warm, playful atmosphere perfect for a fun weekend!

Speaking about dust dog, TEHYA states:

I was sent off by my label to a remote cabin to finish this EP. While we were there, we met a dog named “Gucci”. I was going thru arguably the worst type of break up and sort of analogized Gucci’s love of sunbathing in the dirt waiting around for his people to come home with my perspective of myself in that relationship.
