Alexandra John Unveil New Single ‘Me & You’

American Pop duo Alexandra John, comprised of twins Liza and Weston Cain, have just shared their brand new single Me & You, a heartfelt dance anthem celebrating unbreakable bonds. 

 

Released on their birthday (April 18th), Me & You is inspired by their childhood and creative journey, reflecting on the connection they've shared since childhood. A true celebration of unconditional love and creative growth, Me & You finds Liza beautifully showcasing her rich, expressive vocals and storytelling abilities over an upbeat, feel-good electro-pop/house production. Accompanyinig her gorgeous vocals we have emotive piano keys nicely intertwined with lush strings, killer beats and rhythms that come together to create an overall upbeat, danceable atmosphere that embodies this heartwarming celebration of love!

Speaking about the song, Liza said,

When I started writing it, I realized I was telling the story of growing up with my brother. It became about my experience of finding my voice during LAAMP, separate from Weston, while still knowing we’ll always have each other—no matter what gets thrown our way. When Weston first heard it, I cried. That was powerful for me—something I created alone still resonated with him. And when he put his spin on it, it brought our story full circle. This is a feel-good, heart-filled dance bop. I hope people sing and dance to it with someone they love—or think of that person and reach out to say thank you.

I wanted to keep the emotion of Liza’s original version, but take the listener on a journey. I sped it up, added strings and dance elements—something that feels cinematic and euphoric. It’s about life being easier when you have someone you love to go through it with.
