American singer and songwriter Kyler Martinson shares his brand new single Don't Cut Me Down, a deeply vulnerable and heartfelt piece of music! 

 

The follow up to February's beautiful love song Here I'll Stay, Don't Cut Me Down finds the talented artist exploring the vulnerability and fear that comes with trusting someone deeply. Being all in, allowing ourselves to be vulnerable and giving our hearts to someone isn't something that easy and Martinson beautifully showcases how fragile one can be in this situation, and how scary it is to fully surrender to someone. It enhances longing for reassurance and enduring love even when things get hard. A beautiful love song that is flawlessly conveyed through Kyler Martinson's gorgeous, emotionally-charged vocals which are accompanied by a delicate guitar-based melody that enhances the warmth and raw emotion of his storytelling!

Don’t Cut Me Down was written in a season where I felt crippled by fear and anxiety, and I needed to take a leap of faith with trust, to better my relationship. It voices how scary trust is, but brings light to how valuable trust is at the same time. The bridge is one of my favorite parts. Where I think the lyrics capture what true love is, and the sacrifice it may take.
