UK-based, South African born singer/songwriter We Are All Fossils is back with his brand new single April Fools, a heartfelt and intimate piece of folk music! 

 

Out now via Mahogany Songs, April Fools finds the talented artist singing about the emotional weight of grief, especially around Mother's Day as he lost his mother in 2022. The song shows him witnessing people celebrating Mother's Day and realising he doesn't have that anymore. It also depicts a heartbreaking wish for everything to be just a bad dream or an April Fools' joke. A deeply intimate and heartfelt song that pairs his emotionally-charged vocals and lyrics with intricate acoustic guitar riffs and delicate piano keys that create an overall warm, melancholic atmosphere that gave me the feels right after the very first listen.
